Wells had another tough start in his last outing against the Brewers. He put the Cards in a 5-0 hole, giving up five earned run in five innings of work, but took a no-decision when the Cards rattled off nine unanswered runs. July has been Wells' best month by far this season. He's 1-2 with a 3.90 ERA -- 1.75 runs lower than any other month.

Redding continues to be a solid pitcher for the Nationals. He recorded his fourth consecutive quality start, but Washington lost the first game of a day-night doubleheader, 3-1, at Shea Stadium on Saturday. Redding was dominating, lasting six innings and giving up one run on five hits. He stuck out a season-high eight batters and walked four others. It helped that Redding was successful throwing his breaking pitches for strikes.

Nice play, but you know what, It seems as if Logan's bad reads or lack of instincts make some of the plays he makes appear tougher than they should be.

Yeah it seemed that he didn't get a good jump on that, but I didn't see it well.

I think that's the case more often than not with Logan.
