Oh, you'd have rather kept Hanrahan?
no but those two journeymen are lucky be on the team let alone in the closer role. I hope they exceed but I don't expect much from either.

Like someone else said, this is just a band-aid.

Hanrahan out of the closers role isn't good enough for me. his worthless ass should be sent back to worthless Iowa- or at least Syracuse. the guy is garbage, plain and simple. call up Clippard who has been pitching out of his mind.

Tavarez and Wells as closers make me want to freaking throw up

Pitch the guy pitching best on that day. Rinse. Repeat.

Then put Nails Beimel there and sign him for 2 more years.

Still doesn't fix the problem. Only puts a band-aid on it.

That's awfully generous.  I'd say more like hocking a loogey on it.

They have to bring Ron Valone up. He has been unhitable in AAA. Switch out some of these youngsters that are just overmatched and clearly not ready for this level! Our offense is too good to be wasting it like this. Put in Tavarez(R) Valone(L) Wells (R) then Beimel(L). 4 guys with a TON of major league experience. You need experience in the majors in your bullpen! This bullpen looks like a bunch of AA and AAA pitchers, so send them back where they belong until they prove they belong with the big club! It's not too late, luckily we're only 7 games out!

Our best option at closer is Bergey if we aren't going to put him in the rotation.

I thought the knock on Bergmann was that he was too "sensitive" and was easy to get him shook up.

It's pretty obvious that Hanrahan is easily shaken up.  Might even say he's Grand-Slammed up.
