He had great movement in that inning.  The fastball looked phenomenal.

I just hope he doesn't tire himself by throwing it so hard.  He can still throw 91/92 with that movement and easily put people away.

Burgess with a Sac-Fly. P-Nats lead 5-1 in the bottom of the third. The Pelicans' starter is being taken out.

I think his arm almost came off on that 95 mph pitch. His best fastball is in the 92-93 range. Works for me.

ronnynat, you think the Kansas/SFU will be a good one?
I think it will be. SFU is a small favorite but I think Kansas has a good chance of winning. Either way, it should be a close game unlike last night's slaughterfest.

Well, USF's last game was a great one (even if it was against UCF). I've been wanting to see this Kansas team for while. KU's QB, Todd Reesing, is supposedly a beast. KU could whoop, but USF is home, so you never know. Bottom line is it's two top 25 teams facing off. That's always fun to watch.

Every time I hear the name Jorge Cantu I can't help but mix up the syllables in his name and imagine this.

Sorry ronny, I have money on South Florida tonight.  I'm 8-1 when I bet them (I lost when they got smoked in their bowl game last year vs. Oregon)

OT: Kansas has to play Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Texas, and Missouri this season. The Big 12 is tough.

Carpenter is a moron.

The crap they have been talking about Dukes is reminiscent of the crap they talked about Milledge last year. Some people are just petty and refuse to let go of ways of a bygone era. This is the 21st century and attitudes are different. They want to force people to conform to their old fashioned ways. It also reminds me of the stupid crap that Joe Buck and Chris Berman said after Randy Moss pretended to moon the Green Bay fans. They over hype crap.

Really?  I've always seen Anderson Cooper as being liberal.  He works for CNN and he seems to favor the whole green movement.

Another great K by Martis!

You don't have to apologize.

I'm just rooting for a good game. I don't care who wins.

I blame Guzman on that play more than Boone.  He took long enough with that throw that it should've been much more accurate.

We got lucky there.
It was pretty unlucky how it didn't quite get into the glove of Martis, so it all evens out.

This "bygone era" is going to last well into when you're crotchety and old and start agreeing with it.

Dukes was a little out of hand the other night. You don't see many other players doing it.

Carpenter is a moron.

But no damage done. Boone made a great recovery and Wil made the perfect tag.
