Hopefully this off season we dont add anymore garbage to this team aka Estrada and Lo Duca players. Getting rid of Lopez and Ayala were gem ideas for this team.

I'd like to see them give Shell a trial run in the set-up role for the rest of the year. We know what Rivera is - a good reliever with nasty stuff who doesn't give up home runs, but even he has no idea where his pitches are going to end up. I liked him much better as the 6th/7th inning flex guy. I think Shell has earned a shot at more responsibility by his ERA alone.

I'm not soiling my undies until he has a healthy season, but I absolutely love what Dukes brings to this team. I think he can hit in the 2, 3, and 5 spots in the lineup with the talent he has. He's got a great arm in the outfield, and has shown a good eye at the plate most of the year. Chalk one up for Bowden, so far (hurts me to say that).

i can't control my excitement. i'm already getting goosebumps about 09, Dukes is gonna have a MONSTER season. this is just a preview/warning of what's on the horizon. a full season of Dukes demolishing baseballs is scary.
