I was actually supposed to goto the Potomac game tonight, I have tickets, but my girlfriend is coming back from Australia today and I gotta get her from the airport.  I know Sportsfan is there.  Hopefully I can goto one of the other ones.

Damn, he barely put half of his energy into that swing and hit it at least 400. We need one of those guys.

One more night until NFL season starts, I am so pumped.

I cannot wait. Caps start soon also. I'm going to the Caps home opener to boo Huett.

I really believe that Dukes has the potential to be a guy like that, but I wouldn't mind adding a proven power guy, as well.

Ugh...Kory Casto. I'm just not big on him. He has shown nothing in his time with the team.

I wish I could get into the Caps, I just have never really enjoyed the sport.  I am more of a soccer guy; probably because of my foreign upbringing.  I am huge Italian Serie A/Champions League fan.

It's just funny w/ what everyone's been talking about today. Was it b/c he crowded, leaned into the pitch, or was it just a really bad pitch by OP?

Perez actually threw it right at him. It was weak at best.

Yeah, I hope so too.  I am really pushing for the guy.  If he stinks it up again, he might not see the majors again for a while.

Guzman is looking back in form.  If he plays like has this year for the next two season, then his contract will end up being a steal.

I'm not a huge soccer fan, even though my son plays high school soccer, but I have been to soccer matches in Europe and nothing really compares. Those people are nuts over there about their soccer. They are the definition of a fan-atic.

So weak that it didn't even warrant a warning.  :D

But it was clearly intentional.

QFT, insane fans.  I have seen/been caught up in some huge riots that would be unimaginable in the States (during a sporting event) while I was in Italy.  For all the publicity English hooligans get, I actually think Italian "ultras" are crazier, mostly because they do the same things as hooligans... only without the alcohol.

Zimmerman is getting back on track as well.  Finishing strong will be good for him.

What kind of power potential do you think our guys have going into next season? And I mean if they stay healthy all season and start full-time.

Here's what I think:

Zimmerman - 32-35
Dukes - 28-30 (more down the line)
Milledge -25-28
Flores - 20-22

I'd go further on down the list, but if just those four can have numbers like those, we could be a great offensive team by next season if we just added one proven producer.

I'd put Zimmerman at 30 max next year. But close to 50 doubles and something like 25 HRs

I didn't pay attention to the Caps (or hockey in general) full-time until last season. I definitely recommend it. It really is great.

I think Zimmerman has 25-30 potential.  Milledge has somewhere around 25 HR potential, but could hit as much as 40 if he continues to improve his eye and swing.  Dukes easily has 30+ potential in a fully healthy season.  Flores is a wildcard in my mind, I am not fully convinced that he can be a 25 HR type guy in his career; I would say more like 15 HRs, but with close to 90 RBIs (if we have baserunners).
