Kearns pops out on a hanging slider. Nice.

Only the Nats let garbage starters shut them down on a nightly basis. We should have at least 3-4 off of Myers at this point.

Im giving up on watching the Nats this game if they don't score by the 3rd.  I'll go find something more entertaining to do with my free time.

  Are you still here JMU?

I really want the Nats to throw a no-hitter since we're gonna lose anyway... first team to lose while pitching a no-hitter.

You couldn't possibly get more irritated. I feel for you dude. You've always been so positive. It sucks that the Nats have done this to you. On the other hand, remember that nospin said that we're better off with this bull**** team than not having baseball for 33 years.

haha thanks for understanding.  For a while there I was used to it.  We would win a game here and there and I would sit back and say everyone goes through this.  But the way we have been during this losing streak, it kinda woke me up.  I mean good god we are so content/comfortable with the roster we have and everyone in place.  The Mariners fired their manger.  They got rid of their GM.

We sit here take it up the butt and rebuttal with it's all part of the plan.

I can't wait to see the drop in sales in tickets next season.

Unfortunately... yes.  The Nationals are bad at winning games, Im bad at keeping baseless promises.  A perfect match.

Don't say that! Around here he is a HOF announcer (whatever that means).

In fairness, there was a commercial break keeping him from doing so.
 I just thought Carpenter could've gotten a bit more excited.  He acted like it was a routine play.

But yeah, Carpenter belongs in the "nice guy HoF" if anything for eating hot dogs with people.

3 great pitches in a row to retire the strikeout machine.

You know what they say: "Nice guys finish last."

Sooooooooooooo true in the Nats case.

The irony of giving up a run before a hit is the perfect image of the 2008 Washington Nationals.

This already happened at least once. Ken Johnson pitched a complete game (9 innings) no hitter for Houston and lost to Cincinnati 1-0 on April 23, 1964. The Nats couldn't even make history.

I think the other times it was done in 8 innings so technically they don't count.

It'd still make history.  It wouldn't be the first time it's happened, but it'd make headlines, especially if it were Balester.

Unfortunately, the Phillies already have a hit.

I'd rather the Nats throw a no-hitter and lose by 3 or 4 unearned runs.  That would be much more fitting.

The Angels (Jered Weaver and a reliever) pitched a no-hitter earlier this year only to lose 1-0 to the Dodgers I think.
