Bergmann does not belong on our 2009 roster. He just doesn't have the makeup to pitch consistently in the majors.

That was as routine as a DP ball as you'll ever see. Who gives a freak if Schneider was in front of him? Guzman is a ML SS.

funniest part about it is that it wasn't an error. they gave reyes the base hit.

Man the more I think about that Guzman contract the worse it looks. Were we seriously going to compete next year or even the year after? Bowden is awful and his team takes after him.

Yeah, I think Guzman freaked us. 1/2 season of productive baseball out of 4 years and he gets a 16 million dollar deal. Not that there were many options for SS for the next few seasons but still.

don't try to excuse bergmann for this.

seriously, come on now.

he's given up 7 runs in 3 innings, and he's been getting shelled while doing so. guzman missing the double play doesn't change that.

Yep, that set the tone for the entire game. Who knows what happens if Reyes is correctly called out there.
