OT: The Rays got Chad Bradford from the O's for a player to be named later. They just keep getting better.

I haven't been to enough games or been in the situation to know the answer, but for doubleheaders do you need a ticket for both games?  Or can you buy a ticket for the first one and hang around for the second?  I can see how this might not be possible, but how do they ensure that you leave the stadium b/w games?

It used to be that doubleheaders were scheduled so your ticket was for both games. But the way it is now they don't pass up the opportunity to make more money so you have to vacate the premises for the second game. They kick you out to clean up a little before the second game starts. I'm not sure how they are doing this one because there won't be that much time between games since it's getaway day for the Nats.

I'm kind of surprised he got all the way to the Rays on waivers without anyone else (DETROIT) claiming him.

Wow eight pitches, two strikeouts, and three outs.  This Francis guy must be be a Cy Young contender right?  Right?

per Nationals.com:

Quote
DENVER -- The Nationals have expressed interest in re-signing infielder/outfielder Willie Harris, according to three baseball sources.
It's not known what kind of deal Harris is looking for. However, the parties have not had serious talks yet. Harris and general manager Jim Bowden were unavailable for comment.

Harris, who will be in his second year of arbitration, has been the Nationals' best player so far in the second half. He is hitting .304 with a team-leading four home runs and 15 RBIs entering Thursday's action.

Overall, Harris has a .248 batting average with a career-high nine home runs and 28 RBIs.

A backup by trade, Harris has been filling in for injured players such as outfielder Elijah Dukes, shortstop Cristian Guzman and third baseman Ryan Zimmerman.

Are we really getting shut out by a bad pitcher that is making his first start in over a month?

He won a bunch of games last year- he is their 'ace'
Unfortunately, we get their actual ace next game

Francis had a fluke year last year. He still has a career 4.81 ERA. Even last year his ERA was 4.22.

Yeah but Jimenez is a beast. 1 ER allowed in last 26 IP.

Nice stroke by Milledge, his swing looks a lot better when he hits a HR.
