Wow, what a ballsy call by Shanahan!! Down by 1, he chose to go for two instead of kicking the PAT and they got it.

I wish I had seen this one from the beginning. Definitely the best game of the season so far.

Yeah, I can't believe they did that at home.

Wow, gotta feel for the Chargers. They've lost two absolute heart breakers in the first two weeks.

They should be fine, though. The AFC is going to be fun to watch this season. There should be plenty of teams in the playoff hunt. The NFC actually looks like the more dominant conference for once.

Broncos will win the AFC West easily. They are very legit.

Man, there were a ton of great games today. Skins-Saints, Broncos-Chargers, Bills-Jags, Chicago-Carolina, Indy-Minnesota, and SF-Seattle.

Tonight's game will probably be a blowout but the Monday night game should be a good one.

  The Steelers and Browns said about their rivalry "no nice guys on the field". They would not be well liked here over that.

I disagree.  The Chargers looked every bit as good today.  They've lost two games by very close margins.  I still think they'll ultimately win that division.

Horrible end to the quarter by the Browns. Derek Anderson was a one year wonder.

He needs to be fined heavily for that blockhead move, a game check at least.

he should be inactive for the next game, if not benched for the rest of this one.

that was completely ridiculous.

Would that have been Jackson's first career TD?

Oh, man what a play by McNabb. Great strength to avoid being sacked and rushing forward for a first down.

 Romo missing a wide open Barber that would have sewed the game up for Dallas.

The Eagles have plenty of time to win it.

McNabb is about the dumbest QB I think I've ever seen. His o-line has done a phenomenal job all game giving him time and that stupid nag just holds and holds on to the ball and even refuses to scramble down the wide open field.

He cost them this game down the stretch due to his poor decision-making skills.

And YES, that bonehead hot dogging by DeSean Jackson COST ACTAvation Energy's FederalPrison DallasCowboys our WNFF Fantasy Football match this week!  I had 70 points and A.E had 75, so a TD would have given him the win!  He also had Todd Heap for Baltimore as his active TE, which was changed to a Bye because of Hurricane Ike.  ACTAvation might have won by picking up another TE off waivers and starting him instead.

Ugh, I totally forgot to fix the Heap thing.

I was INFURIATED when Jackson dropped that TD, though.  Congrats on your win this week, n2p.

Quite frankly, I'm not impressed with the defenses of Dallas and Philly and I can't wait for the Redskins to play them.

Quote
The Minnesota Vikings, with an 0-2 start to the season, are turning to veteran Gus Frerotte to bring them out of the hole.

No coach had more faith in his quarterback than coach Brad Childress had in Tarvaris Jackson, who has had 14 career starts. But Childress named Frerotte the starter for the remainder of the season
, announcing the decision at his Wednesday media availability.

Jackson was 8-4 as a starter last season, even though he completed only 58.2 percent of his passes and had a 70.8 quarterback rating.

This season started even slower for Jackson. He completed only 30 of 59 passes for 308 yards in two games, in an offense that is ranked 24th in the league in passing despite a strong running game from Adrian Peterson.

Jackson has been playing with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his knee, an injury that forced him at times to wear a brace. Vikings fans booed him throughout Sunday's 18-15 loss to the Indianapolis Colts when the Vikings, despite a 160-yard rushing day by Peterson, had to settle for five field goals.

With a tough home game coming up against the Carolina Panthers, Childress decided to go with the strong-armed Frerotte. The 37-year-old Frerotte is in his 15th season, and spent the past two seasons as a backup in St. Louis.

Frerotte has been with seven teams, but this is his second tour with the Vikings, having spent 2004 and 2005 in Minnesota.

Frerotte has completed 54.2 percent of his passes during his career for 19,134 yards and a 74.3 quarterback rating. He's 37-44-1 as a starter.

About time. Frerotte isn't great but he's a huge upgrade over Jackson.
