wow, awesome inning.

Ayala against their studs in the 8th scares the crap out of me.

He's decent. Had a fluke year last year but is still doing fairly well this year. He's 32 though and will probably make 5 million? The Sox will probably re-sign him.

I thought the Sox were grooming Masterson to take over Okajima's role?

Good job Saul.  No way should Saul see the field tonight.  Leave in Saul and bring in Joel at the first sign of trouble.

That's not too old at all for a reliever. If the price was a little cheaper than that, I'd do it. Outside of two really bad outings this season, he's been awesome. He just doesn't give up runs.

Nice hit, PLD. This would be a big insurance run.

It'd be a terrible idea to let Hanrahan go more than 1 inning. I want to see how he can do in the single inning closer's role.

damnit, I wish I had a quarter for every hard hit ball we have hit right at a fielder this year.

We have to get it to him first. Ayala has been so unbelievably hittable lately and against their big sluggers he is sure to give up at least 1. Tough situation for Manny but he almost has to go to Ayala for the 8th.

I saw this guy Espinelli pitch in the AAA all star game on Wednesday.  You won't get many hard hits off this guy.

We're bums. We have 13 hits and 1 walk and only 4 runs to show for it.
