Nationals outfielder Wily Mo Pena has been playing with a sore left shoulder for more than a month, and it could be the reason he's having the toughest season of his career.

They talked about that on MASN. But how do they explain away May.

I believe it. I don't think it's a joke. Pena's swing has looked off all year.

Nice K, Tim!!

We needed to get more runs in the 2nd & 3rd.  You know it's about to come back and bite us on the ass.   :|

I knew it wouldn't come back and bite us that inning. Nice work by Redding.

I agree that it may be viable for one month, but what about the first two

Redding at 77 through 4 innings.  We'll need at least 3 innings from the pen.

Poor excuse.  If your injury is negatively affecting your playing, then you should stop slowing your freaking team down and not play.

The oblique injury.  :?  I think they MAY be trying to excuse their decision not to do something about him. If that's the case he could've gone on the DL and then had a decent stint in the minors.

Why doesn't he just stay in the bunting stance?!

Great swing by Belly. Felipe is completely expendable.

That was different. I've never seen the first baseman make that play before.

Don't buy it for a second. His problem is absolutely no pitch recognition or plate discipline. A sore shoulder isnt going to make him swing and miss at 3 pitches in the dirt in a row constantly.

I saw Brad Wilkerson do something similar (not as far though) when he played 1st against the Astros in '06. Unfortunately he threw to 3rd and Baerga dropped the ball.  :?

I think we'll score a lot this game. The Astros are probably going to use up their whole 'pen.

All he does is hit lazy fly balls, Bob. wtf are you talking about? This should be a perfect spot for Felipe to come through.

Wee Willie should be starting the rest of the year somewhere.  No more Flop or Pena or Walnuts.
