The pitching coach calls pitches during the game?

They don't show who it is in the dugout (for obvious reasons), but the catcher looks over for every pitch.

Balester has looked great in the first few innings he has pitched, but he just seems to run out of steam around the 5th.  Hopefully this is something that can be fixed.

well, if our pitchers were allowed to pitch more than 6 innings in the minors, they might have some stamina when they come up to the majors.

QFT. This is how it's been done all season. I guess some haven't been watching. :?

Randy calls the game from the dugout. Sometimes, the battery switches things up.

I'm not worried. This is something that can be worked on over the next couple of months and into next season. He's young and needs to work his way through it. He'll be fine. If not he can always be converted to the bullpen.

It all started with an 0-2 count, 2 outs, nobody on base, and a 3-0 lead just an inning ago. This team is a complete farce.

I wanted to be wrong, spidernat, but this is just the way it always goes for us. :?

Doesn't necessarily mean we'll lose, though.

Manny has to take responsibility for this disaster. He seems to be so satisfied with the disheartening play by this team night in and night out.

someone please tell me why every single time someone hits a weak pop-up, Bob says "that jammed him", even if the pitch wasn't even close to being inside?

It's over. The embarrassing 4-game sweep at the hands of a 5th place team is complete. I hope we lose 6 more in a row at home next week to push the losing streak to 11.

you've never noticed that? Just a little while ago the camera showed LoDuca looking into the dugout for the call. It was a fastball to Phillips when Griffey was on 1st.

FIRE RANDY SAINT CLAIRE!

Ross doubled to left, Votto scored.
Hairston reached on fielder´s choice to second, Ross scored, Volquez out at second.

Nationals 3
Reds 5

Where's a smiley shaking his head? This statement deserves one.

I know.  :?

I have a girl coming over for lunch. Normally, during the game, this would be a no no but I figured at this point this team doesn't deserve my undivided attention. It hurts to say that but it's true.   :'(

Balester had it but lost it there with Griffey last inning.  Turning point of the game.

He'll be okay.

Let's get the runs back.

don't you know, if Manny is fired, this exact same team we are watching now will instantly stop sucking and will transform into division-winners.

it's all Manny's fault.

fire Manny, it worked for Seattle right?

Be happy Flores didn't start this game. He would have most definitely broken his pinky toe and been done for the season. Now he has at least 5 more games before his time comes.

Oh, I see. You're probably right.  :?

Flores and Guzman are next on the list. It's like the movie Final Destination.  :?

That walk to Griffey was deadly. He seemed afraid to throw him a strike with an 0-2 count.
