That AB sucked. Didn't even give himself a chance.

sportsfan this was 4 days ago

Yeah because they might as well send him back if they weren't going to give him a legit shot to play everyday.
I don't get it. At least let him prove that he's a complete bust before giving up on him. He's had a good year in AAA and he's shown flashes up here but he doesn't get enough ABs to really show us what he's got.

I can't argue against that.

Any chance for a comeback just left the building.  Colome in.

Where did it go, south of the border?

1. Elijah Dukes proved that he needed regular ABs to improve sharply.
2. Wily Mo Pena proved that he has a GREAT agent.

Colome just walked the pitcher who wanted to get out on 4 pitches.  :?

How can you NOT make that throw? A HS 1st baseman can make that throw.

4th error of the game. What do you expect really? Young sucks.

What an embarrassing game. Poor pitching, defense, and offense.

Someone had their desired lineup for next season and had Young/NJ penciled in :? That's almost like giving up on 2009 before 2008 is even over.

A HORRIBLE throw by Dmitri, nowhere near Guzman, for the 4th ERROR of this game.  This team has very few guys on the field who are playing their regular positions... Dmitri's is lying down with a cold drink.

We have more ERRORS than RUNS SCORED!

I think you're right. The fact that NJ is done for the season pretty much guarantees that Dmitri won't be traded. :?

We can sign a player in the offseason. If we rely on those we'll have one more year of an out of shape incompetent 1B and a player who will go on the DL because he had a nightmare.

I'm looking forward to watching the Harrisburg game again. Looks like a good game. They are so much more fun to watch than this team. I'd rather watch Alaniz pitch tomorrow night live at 7 as opposed to watching Ervin Santana punish us.

Speaking of Young, does anyone else find it curious timing that Young went on the DL with some sort of problem yet somehow was able to return on the same day NJ went on the DL?

He's given up 2 runs in 5 innings. He just came out to pitch the 6th.

I noticed that.  I wouldnt be surprised if they paid Lo Duca to go out there and fake an injury to put him on the DL.

We mean for next season though.

It's hard for me to believe that we'll be dealing Dmitri in the offseason. There will still be question marks regarding NJ, and Dmitri's only getting older. Bad combo. I hope we can pull something off, though.
