LOL I've never seen a batter ask for an appeal at 1st.

Beltre's a funny guy.

Btw spidernat, how is that drink anyways? Sounds interesting.

It's nice when it's on ice with a double measure of vodka.

Someone on the M's did earlier in the game, but the homeplate umpire called it. No clue who it was. Before that though, I never have.

Good job staying with the heater to Johjima. Nice win. Hopefully this series turns out better than the Pirates' series where we won the opener.

I think its interesting we started out both series against the Pirates and now the Mariners by winning 7-6.

Good job Rauch.  Big John was hitting 95 on his heater.  With that nasty curve to boot.

Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be the same as the Pirates series.

Oh well, a win is a win. We need a strong outing from Clippard tomorrow night.

He's the first pitcher on this team that I really look forward to seeing. Have I said that I like that change-up yet?

phew, it's never easy with the nats. we broke the game open 7-1, and then let the mariners creep back into it. o well, a w is a w.

1 down, 2 more to go vs the lowly (the only team we can call lowly) mariners...we need to sweep them.

and wow, clip is getting a second start which he deserves. i think he'll shut em down, he just needs to cut down on the walks he showed he had some filthy stuff vs the giants.

and i know why we didn't score another run after the 2nd, it wasn't because the mariners bullpen was befuddling us, it was because they were saving some offense for the rest of the series.  ;)

I always switch the channel the second the game ends just so I don't have to see her.
