And with 84 pitches after 5, I bet Manny puts him in to start the sixth, too.

This is the only thing that I really don't like about Perez. He can't pitch deep into games. But let's remember that he's basically our #5 right now. That being so, he's done fine. He gives us a chance to win 80% of the time.

Mock should be called up soon.  Get rid of Colome.

Sanches in the game. Perez out after only 83 pitches.

I hate a pitcher that can't give his team at least 7 innings.

I can't complain about a pitcher giving up 1 run in 5 innings.  This offense is the issue.  I can't even think about the pitching, honestly.

When your offense is so inept every thing is perilous.  And this offense is, potentially, legendarily inept!

I think you probably would have wanted this move had Perez come out to pitch this inning.

Perez's style screams "long reliever in the making."

Watching Cameron talking to Braun about what he saw from Sanches reminds of what I saw at a Babe Ruth game recently. The leadoff hitter struck out on 3 pitches and it was clear that he just could not catch up to the pitcher's fastball. I was standing by their on deck circle and as he walked back to the dugout the 2 hitter asked him if the pitcher was throwing hard and after fanning badly the kid had the nerve to say "not that hard"

He struck out 5 in 1.2 against the Nats in '06.

Nice heater. 3 Ks in one inning. Sanches could be just the guy we needed. We lack a guy in the pen who can come in and strike people out.

But in that outing he also yielded 2 hits.

I think we have a keeper here.

Let's not be premature and jinx him.

And doesn't walk people! I already can tell he's a better option than Schroder was.

He's definitely an upgrade from Hanrahan and Colome.

Not on Hanrahan.  He has been lights out lately.
