I'm not calling this a fluke. I am calling for "patience and maturity." Bergmann has done this all before: he has risen to the occasion one day and then become a complete nag the next.
I contain any excitement I have over him, but will gladly take what he has given us today.
I think the problem, though, is that you'll break out the beach ball for one bad outing, but you "contain your excitement" when he has a good one.
This was one of the best pitching performances we've seen this year. That DOES mean something. Giving a losing team a chance to win is very worthy of praise.
