Unbelievable. We only lost 8 games to the Marlins all year last season.  We were 10-8 against them.
we were outscored this series 23-7. we are 0-6 at home - can anyone explain this?

Rauch is awesome. Why in the freak didn't he pitch the 8th?  Manny has lost all grip on reality.

That wouldn't of made sense at the time. No team puts their closer in for 2 innings unless they need to get one out; and even that's rare. It would have made more sense to leave Hill in there w/ the way he was pitching.

Not me. I'd wish Bowden or Acta would though.  Losing 6 in a row at home to the Marlins is a complete disgrace.

i feel terrible for Hill. but this isnt the first time the pen has blown it for our starters. reminds ne of the Rocky (Horror) Biddle Show.

I call 'em like I see them.  He has been horrid this year.  I didn't say anyone else is doing much better (they aren't) , but many seem to act as if it's blasphemy to point out that he has been playing poorly.  Hence, IMO, he gets a free pass where others don't.

He's been fielding extremely well and batting poorly.

I did say he needs to learn when to shut the hell up! He's a kid being expected to carry this team. Even if the FO and his team mates don't expect it the fans and media sure as hell came into the season with that attitude. Put that on anyone then surround him with the farce that we've fielded so far and you expect him to not get frustrated and say something stupid? I'm surprised it took as long as it did.
I don't blame Ryan at all.  He doesn't put himself 3rd in the lineup everyday and he didn't designate himself the face of the franchise.  He does the best he can & he is scuffling mightily.  My biggest worry is that he is another personnel misjudgment by JimBo (god, I hope that doesn't happen)

Agreed, I have not a clue.

Let's see, Bob just said that every single one of our pitchers has had trouble with Marlin hitters this series except for Shawn. Some of the blame is on the pitching coach, unquestionably although some of the pitchers we are throwing out there are minor league-caliber.
The reason why Hill is so successful against them is being he doesn't throw his fastballs belt high. All of Ayala's pitches were between the elbow and the belt.

Manny's too much of a chickencrap to let a starting pitch come back into an inning when they're on 90+ pitches because he's afraid they'll allow a baserunner.

GUESS WHAT?  MOST OF YOUR PIECE OF crap RELIEVERS ALLOW BASERUNNERS TO LEAD OFF INNINGS, ANYWAY, SO THAT REALLY DOESN'T freakING MATTER.  STOP BABYING YOUR freakING STARTERS!

True.  He hasn't let his slump carry over to the field
