It's not easy to get demoted after playing poorly and then turn it around. I'd like to see him get another shot.

To play devil's advocate, it might be because he belongs at AAA.

I'd agree if he was a little older. At this point, I'm thinking it was just stage fright.

There may be a reason for this.

This is the reason I had in mind.

Bonifacio is 2 for 4 so far today with a K and a CS  :?
Davis is 2 for 3 with 2 doubles. Looks like he's starting to come around going 4 for 7 in his last two games.

Oh and Ryan Wagner is having a meltdown gving up 3 hits for 2ERs in the 7th. He just gave up 2 straight singles and a homer in the 8th without recording an out. His ERA is now 22.50.

Yeah, I saw that CS and Bernadina got a successful steal in the same game.  Although in the third inning, he singled then scored on the next play by Castillo, a single to left field.

QFT, this is sad if this is what we have to look forward to.

Another guy that has been disappointing lately is Adam Carr.  He managed to just barely escape the game, even though he had a 5 run lead.  In one inning, he let up 2 H, 4ER, 2 BB, and a HR.  Two games ago, he let up 2 H, 1 BB, and 2 ER in 1 inning.

Carr and Zinicola are both wildly inconsistent. Maybe one day they'll be decent but neither is even close.

Man I can't believe how bad Wagner got rocked.

Looks like Marco Estrada is going through a bit of a rough patch too.

I think Zinicola has a better chance than Carr.  I just don't see Carr making it, Zinicola definitely not as a closer.  Maybe he will make a good set-up man one day.  I have my hopes on Wilkie and Beno down at Potomac.

Nunez recently was switched to the reliever role this year and K. Goldstein said he was someone to look out for in one of his chats. I'd guess he's our best relieving prospect.

Didn't we get Nunez from the Dodgers in some throwaway deal?

Nunez was for Daryle Ward, a hitting beast, but sounds like it was a nice trade.

Wasn't Daryle Ward like Dmitri's clone, decent average and power but a liability on the bases?

He could almost be counted on for a PH HR. Way more power than '08 DY. Only person to hit one into the river over PNC Park besides Bonds. Couldn't field to save his life though.

One step forward, and now two steps backwards for Detwiler after his awful outing tonight:

4.2 IP 7 H 7 R 4 ER 3 BB 2 HBP 1 K 1 HR

Yeah, he is pissing away the value of his stock. Patrick Arnold got rocked in his debut for the Lake Monsters, 2.1 IP, 5 H, 6 ER, 3 BB.  So much for his amazing GCL numbers.

Nunez was for Marlon Anderson
Luis Atilano was for Ward

Ah I get those deals mixed up. I guess it makes sense because Atilano needed Tommy John, and Anderson was signed for 2 years, so we got a healthier prospect.
