Well, after talking with a Verizon salesperson, I found out it's only $6 more a month for me to upgrade to Fios for both phone and internet (keeping Dish for TV). So I have an install appointment for monday, March 10th. I'm definitely looking forward to 5 megs instead of 1.5 downloads.

hope you hav e better luck with Dish. I had it  before i switched to Directtv. I was not happy at all with Dish.

Yeah. I still have a contractual obligation for all the free equipment they installed when we first got Dish. The only equipment I had to "buy" was the HD DVR; it was $179 but I got a $100 rebate on it back. Additionally, I really like Dish Network. With the exception of the delay in MASN until this past season, I've been very happy with them. Picture is great. HD channel lineup is extensive. Equipment works fine (and I couldn't beat the price . :)) So I have 4 sets on Dish and one on a rooftop antennae. I know, I can get a free HD TV if I go Fios for TV too. But when you add what I'd have to pay Dish in penalties, how free is it? Now, if Dish doesn't give me my MASN in HD this season, then all bets are off. :D
