Whoops, didn't realize this was an afternoon game.  Nats are already up 3-1 in the first, GO NATS!

Livan Hernandez (15-7, 3.83) vs. Jae Seo (7-2, 2.34)

HAHA, thats only his fourth homer of the year. FOUR HOMERS OVER 145 games. Thats gotta be like 0.0000something homers per game

Not good.

10 hits, only 4 runs and now we're trailing!

Not good.

This lead should have been bigger.

Arrrrgh.  Livan gives up the grand slam on 3-2 with 2 outs.  5-4 Mets.

WE GOTTA COME BACK HERE.

Hey, we've already chased Seo out of the game, now we face the METS BULLPEN. Which is almost as bad as the Braves

This new guy isn't so hot, we'll just have to score some more.

Takatsu struggled with the White Sox this year, but he was dominant last year. there's been some speculation that his funky delivery gives hitters a hard time initially, but that they eventually figure him out. Since this is his first go-round in the NL, he could be tough.

Scot.

Livan is not a low-scoring teams kind of pitcher.  He is reliable in the sense that he usually doesn't give up huge amounts of runs, but he also rarely shuts the opposing team down completely.  In the Nats case, 3, 4, 5 runs given up IS huge, and often insurmountable.  That is why, by and large, Patterson is a better fit for the Nats than Livan.

That said, Livan is great at soaking up innings, and I believe this game and the sweep are still well within our reach.

Hit by pitch, I don't think they'd put the winning run on base with one out, but it makes you wonder....
