Do you guys think we would've made the playoffs had we not gotten Huet? A big freak NO from me. Huet has been the man!

No chance. If we let that guy go it would be a mistake of epic proportions.

he makes things look so easy.  there was a 2-1 last night and it was pretty clear the guy was going to get a shot from inside the circle. and i really wasnt even worried. he makes those saves easily. never sliding, splitting, etc. always sliding on his knees with his chest up.  he never gets really beaten.  it takes a a rebound or deflection to score on him.

I should have some extra playoff tickets if anyone is interested.  I should know tomorrow.  Probably 60 bucks each. A little over face value. Basically face + fees.

Sportsfan already got his and there are only about 3 other people who frequent this thread.  Ali, you pretty much got a decent amount of dibs here since you go frequently. There are only about 4 people who post in this thread anyway.

Hell yeah...I'm in for Sunday for sure (I'll be nervously following the score from the baseball game on Friday, just as I did from the United game last night).  This is incredible...it was fun walking around town today noticing all the folks in Caps shwag buzzing off one another.  What a month.

Awesome. Sounds like Schultz and Morrisonn are going to suit up for Game 1.

Anyone watch any of the Playoff games last night? Pittsburgh smoked Ottawa 4-nil.  Damn I wish we could have faced the Sens. They are god awful.  Philly is a much, much tougher matchup.

Isn't Ottawa missing some really key parts right now? I think they actually swept Pittsburgh during the reg. season. I might be wrong there, though.

I think they might be missing a player or two but I'm not sure. The Sens are still bad regardless. They started the season like 14-1 and since then they have been mediocre. Over the last few months of the season they were several games under .500.

They're missing Alfredsson (and Chris Kelly and Mike Fisher <--I don't know those two, but supposidly they're pretty good) now. That coupled w/ the fact that they have been playing poorly should equal an early exit against a team like the Penguins.

I'm kinda of intrigued by the "Philly is tough" "there will be blood" talk. Like are they going to play dirty or try to get people off their game.  The last thing they should want is Ovechkin retaliating with a borderline late hit or charge.  Yeah it will get overchkin off his game and in the box for a couple minutes, but someone would be in the hospital.

That's the last thing we want, too. I hate when Ovechkin loses his focus. That's why I didn't want to play Pittsburgh in the first round. We've been doing really well at limiting penalties recently, so I think we need to keep doing what we've been doing.

Our skilled players are much tougher than Briere.  Philly should try not to escalate matters

Between Brashear and Erskine, there's a pretty compelling reason to not start anything.  Plus their #1 goon (Cro Magnon Hatcher) is recovering from a leg injury...even if he plays during the series, he's unlikely to be as recklessly violent as he has been in the past.

The Canadians are EASILY going to sweep their series against Boston, I think.

That San Jose-Calgary series is a great one.

Yeah, Boston's horrible. I couldn't believe how lackadaisical SJ played last night. They didn't even show up until there was a minute left when it was too late.  They were playing in front of their home crowd too.

Looks like Anaheim is laying an egg at home too.  I hope we don't choke tomorrow night like these teams.
