Why?  I just don't get it.  Why do they keep pitching to Andruw Jones?!

Sorry, way too much homework, thats what I get for procrastinating, but I will say this, the games are alot more enjoyable now that I'm not worried about the playoffs.

O, and it looks like Chief will be talking to himself for the whole game

What can you say?  A miracle ripped from our hands.  This will probably demoralize the team, and who can blame them?

This game showed me two things 1.) The NATS are a team in progress, I give them next year to come back and win the NL East and 2.) This team has heart, last I checked it was 6-2 in braves favor and this is why I love this team. Make the playoffs or not this is the best team ever!!

I'm glad I turned the game off when it was 6-0.  That's supremely disappointing to lose like that.  WHY DOES FRANK KEEP PITCHING TO ANDRUW??? :x

I just don't get it.

Well, to be fair, by the time Andruw homered the game was already over.  Chipper hit the 2R shot immediately before him.

This game to me was a crash-course for anyone who hasn't been following the season:

    1. Beginning of the game: no good expectations to win, nobody thinks they are going to be competitive, just happy they are playing.

    2. Mid-Game: total surprise: team shows heart and gets everybody's hopes up.

    3. Nose dive to reality being worse than if they had just continued to suck the whole time.

agree.....we've had many tough losses this year but I think this was by far the most disappointing...I was really heartbroken when I left RFK today......I still don't understand Frank's insistence on playing Guzman...I know it was early but I'd have pinch hit for him when we had 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs early in the game and certainly pinch hit for him in the 9th when he was leading off....
