Redding has developed into a legitimate Major League starter this season, and Saturday's
outing was his best yet. A lack of offense denied him a decision after he pitched 6 2/3
innings and allowed just one run. His command was strong as he struck out seven batters
and allowed just two runners to move into scoring position. He'll look to further cement
his status as a candidate for next season's rotation during his final start of 2007.

On a 75-pitch pitch count in his second start removed from a left elbow strain, Hamels
allowed one run in five innings to the Nationals on Sept. 23. He should be able to push
his limit to 100 pitches for what could be a very important start, as far as the Phillies
playoff chances are concerned.

I'm watching the Mutts and Marlins game and it's unbelievable. The Mets are still LAUGHING! You would think this unthinkable slump would humble them and it would be all business for them but Willie is still laughing and smiling during bp, Reyes is still acting like a fool as usual, it's crazy. I want them to lose sooooo bad!

sigh.. Jimenez is just a terrible fielder. He didn't even try to go for fly ball from Rollins and then he couldn't even get the ball out of the glove on that play. Lopez makes those plays easily
