If I was ever in a bar fight, I'd want Wily Mo behind me.

Rollins 2-run single.  Utley doubled to deep right, Rollins scored.

Nationals 0
Phillies 3

Hamels 70 pitches, Redding at 77 now.

I wouldn't get too far into their heads. They crushed the Phils' hopes last year and have played them long, hard games this year.

I think the Phils are just a pretty good team, peaking at the right time.
Oh yeah, I agree. The Phils are way superior to the Mets but it still seems we don't play with the same fire against Philly.  Tonight our bats have been dead despite having no lefties in the lineup against a LHP.  Redding was doing fine and then he decided to screw around with the #7 and #8 hitters which led to his demise.

We have gotten nothing from Zimmerman and Kearns at #3 and #4, tonight.

Tha Phillies jsut ahve too much swagger right now and tha Nats don't Remind of tha redskin in 05 when they won their last 6 games of tha season

I'm one of the few  here that don't mind the Phillies at all. I sorta like em'. Howard is homer machine, and just a beast. Utley is great player that just keeps his mouth shut and lets his game speak for itself. Rollins is an elite SS, and i loved his prediction in the beginning of the yr that the Phillies were the team to beat. Cold Ham is the best young pitcher in baseball along with Fausto. I mean, the Phillies just have a good combo of swagger and players that are easy to like. I know their fans are notorious for being scumbags but it's ab the players.

77 pitches, redding should be back if you just go by the pitch count.

Ronnie strikes out on a hanging change up...

Hamels is good, yes, but this is the 5th time we have faced him this year.  You'd think by now we'd have a little clue as to what he is throwing.  Guess not

That statement should THOROUGHLY jinx the Phillies now.

Get some Zimm or whatever the new slogan is.

Now THAT was a good explanation for why you like their team/players. Good stuff.

Now if you could just give us that type of explanation for why you like Nook so much....

Some of those breaking balls... it looks like they are trying to hit slow-pitch softballs...

This game is a referrendum on whether Redding can handle pressure!  He has all the tools to be a really good pitcher.  So far he has not handle it well from hitting into a DP and blowing a Sacrifice, then losing his control in the fifth(by hitting the 8th place hitter).
