Manager Charlie Manuel said Sunday that Eaton will remain in the rotation despite his
struggles in the final game of the Mets series, when he yielded four earned runs in 4
2/3 innings. In three September starts, Eaton is 0-1 with a 7.47 ERA and has allowed
13 earned runs in 15 2/3 innings.

Hill lasted five innings and gave up three runs on five hits against the Braves on Sunday.
His worst inning came in the third when he gave up two runs. Tim Hudson started the
inning with an infield single. One out later, Hill walked both Edgar Renteria and Chipper
Jones to load the bases. Mark Teixeira followed and drove in two runs with a single. In
the fourth inning, Kelly Johnson took an 0-2 pitch and hit the ball over the center-field
wall.

The thread title should be Nationals vs. Phillies instead of Nationals @ Phillies.

Another instance of Belliard being a pimp  :pimp:

He goes to step out but the ump doesn't give him time so he hurries back in the batters box and slaps a single into RF.

We're about to have a game-ending, back-breaking, soul-crushing, scoreless first.  >:(

The end result of that inning was disastrous. A victory for the phillies.

I'm so afraid that that was the best chance we'll have to have a big inning.  :'(

One is damn near empty.  There's no way the Phillies can't believe they "won" that inning.

unbelievable.. How are you supposed to pitch to Howard when you can't get a curve ball right on the corner called for a strike?

And THAT'S what happens when you can't get a ****ing call!!!!!  all the ump's fault

And that's why the Phillies won the first inning.
