Sportsline:
SS Felipe Lopez had a 45-minute meeting with manager Manny Acta on Saturday to discuss his frustrating season. Lopez, who hit .291 in 2005 and .274 in 2006, has seen his average fall to .240 in 2007. He hasn't driven in a run since Aug. 12 and has committed four errors in his last seven games.... Acta wanted to give Lopez some words of encouragement while also making sure the aloof shortstop doesn't give up on the season with two weeks left to play. "He's just frustrated because he feels that he has done everything in his power, and he's not the player that people are seeing right now," Acta said. "I just told him he can't give up. He's got to give his best effort, and things will work out."
