Well, I couldn't get to a computer until now and I see that I'm not alone.

This was one great game and, apparently, everyone missed it!  :D

Estaban was fantastic but, frankly, he pitched to long.  I wouldn't have sent him out in the 8th inning, regardless of how well he was pitching. Patterson and Loaiza are our best two pitchers.  Frank has to protect their arms.

And we had two three-run homeruns in one game!!!  :shock:

How can you beat that?

Everybody ahead of us lost, also, the Phillies (obviously), Marlins, Astros.

I was "watching" the sportsline.com of the Braves-Reds game.  It was in extra innings and Dan Kolb was pitching for the Braves.  :lol:

Kolb giving up runs is like the sun rising in the East and setting in the West.

Today, he gave up 5 runs in the 12th, including a grand slam!  :lol:   :lol:   :lol:

You gotta love Dan Kolb!

Just when you think the Nats are done...that the playoffs are an impossible goal...They reach back and are within striking distance once again

As I mentioned in the other thread, I haven't had access to a computer all weekend, sorry guys!  I did not miss the games though, especially today's encouraging win :D

In my case the power has been on and off all day. I've tried to come in and get the gameday thread started, but things got so bad here that even the water was off for a while.

But I'm thinking I should miss these more often, because the Nats have been winning when I'm not around... But missing a gameday thread on purpose would make me too nervous.

Is Charlie Slowes coming back next year?  I know the TV guys' contracts run out after the season but I don't think I could take Nats broadcasts without the "bang zoom".  It's already a bit of an institution here!
