This is the most important game the Redskins have had since 2005.  This is a huge momentum-shifter.

I hope like anything that they win.

Right now, the Skins are deep in Lions territory in the 2nd quarter.

Everything is going great right now! Randel El is most definitely the player of the half for us. Oh, and Campbell's having the game of his career, too!

Anyone else think that it's inevitable that Campbell becomes the new face of Campbell's soup?

I'm cautiously optimistic.  This is how things looked at the half against the Giants.

was just thinking the same thing. we can't just run, run, run and hope the defense holds up. we need to keep doing what we've been doing. if we win by 30, so be it. i just don't think Gibbs believes in doing that, unfortunately.

Of course he's hurt now.  :(

oh, come on. 21 point lead (now 24) with about 3 mins left...definitely a time to run. It's earlier in the second half where we shouldn't do run only, and we did GREAT!

What's the point of EVER running on 3rd and 7, though?  I just don't like how this team decides to sit on leads.

Clock management. You force the team to either call one of their timeouts or let the clock run down. It was the smartest play in that situation.

Time wasn't really a factor.  The Redskins had a massive lead with about 4 minutes to play.  There was no need to be thinking about the clock right there.

I'd agree if we weren't playing the team that scored 34 points in the 4th quarter last week. Why take the chance on an INT or clock stoppage? Point is, once you get down around 3 or 4 minutes, you get the game over as quick as possible. No need to risk more injuries.

QFT

Detroit's OL sucks. If not for that I'd be thrilled about the pressure they DL was able to generate. Our OL looked a little sluggish early but got it together. The good thing is that they have room for improvement which is encouraging. But the mounting number of injuries is a concern.

The Packers are losing on national television to the Bears.

The Redskins should be able to win next week if they play their best.

It won't be easy though. Too bad Randle El was injured because we need him to give Moss enough time to get back to 100%. We can't rush Moss back before he's ready. I am discouraged that Moss is always either injured or nursing some sort of leg injury.

Well, this is the second game this season where Randle El has checked out at halftime.
