TAKE the field goal in the 4th and 1 situation, especially against a team like the Buccaneers, that may only give up field goals. (The old Gibbs won games with field goals, with a kicker named Mark Mosley.) If they got the chip shot at 4th and 1, then at the end of the game, the Redskins could have
tied it with a field goal, instead of throwing against a team that knew they had to pass, the best time for interceptions (ask Mark Ripien.) The momentum was on the Redskins side, and the Buccaneers couldn't move the ball in the second half (since the Redskins defense was on the bench almost the whole time.)
