Willis gave up 5 ER after 2 out in the 1st.  Now down 7-0 after 3.  At least the 'Fins are winning. :)

ATLANTA (AP) -- Ryan Church hit a three-run homer to give Washington the lead, D'Angelo Jimenez drove in three runs with three hits and the Nationals beat the Atlanta Braves 7-4 on Sunday.

OK...what'd we all miss here? LOL....Church and Jimenez = THE STARS OF THE GAME!!!???

Oh, what a great day this is turning out to be!

See, if you don't give up SIX unearned runs, you can win games!

What a joy to see Church be patient after two K's and have a great AB.  I wish he would watch the film of that AB and just use that discipline each AB.  I am convinced he would be a 25-30 HR/100 RBI .290 guy if he would just let the pitcher throw him strikes and not get himself out.  It feels like it might not happen with us but at some point I think it will with some team in the future.

If I reading things right, Berg's ERA didn't change w/ this game.  Right?

For today, it was 4.5.  For the season it is 4.31, which means it increased a little.

I had the Nats game on my computer via MLB.tv while watching the Skins game on my plasma.  They started the game awful like they have been doing but the offense actually came alive including a huge HR by Church.  Zimmerman also had a nice opposite field HR.
Btw, Shaun Suisham is $$$$$$$$$$  :pimp:
