Horrible call. He took forever to get there. At least he doesn't have to worry about addressing it to the media.

I'm guessing that he knock the wind out of himself and then either dislocated his shoulder or elbow.  If it was broken they would not have just walked of the field without a splint.  I'm praying that it will just be something to immobilize and then rehab.  He is certainly done for the season.
This may help us with save some money signing him in arbitration.

Who is this guy? Jonathan Albaladejo

He lit it up in AAA.. I think the Nats signed him as a minor league free agent in May.  He's 24 and can throw it in the low 90s with a nice curveball to compliment his fastball.

Probably but it may have been due to the fact that it took Lopez an eternity to get there to cover second.

Maybe if Felipe was covering 2nd sooner the throw would have been better.  The pitcher was standing there with the ball and no one was covering 2nd.

OMG, how does AIr Zimmerman do this gameday stuff? This is a horrible way to follow tha Nats.  My repsect for tha kid just went up a lot for him being able to follow tha nats all year like this and not complain or bail out.

We're going to lead a lot more runs to win this game.

And can we please take note that they're also using a rookie pitcher?

Either way that should have been a fairly easy DP.

True although in Lopez' defense (and I don't like defending him for a second) but that may have been Belliard's base to cover.

No doubt. Plus he says at times his computer isn't all that fast.

damnit AK.. the offense has fallen asleep against a bad rookie pitcher.  We need 10 runs to win this one

He is huge 6'5" 240lbs.  They have kept him under the radar

not at all.  Our offense is dead and our bullpen has to throw 7 innings.

This Marlins rookie pitcher is 0-2 with a 5.54 ERA in 26 innings and we are making him look brilliant

The first inning had us thinking we were about to clobber the Marlins for the sweep.

I think this game is setting up for a sweep. the marlins play lifeless baseball, I'm not worried.

I have a bad feeling that they're not going to have the same problems scoring that we're having...

Debbi's voice sounded somber in that piece.

Felipe likes to never look like he is hurrying.  He also has no idea where to catch the ball at second base.  Last night he took a throw on a SB attempt on the outfield side of second base.  This play instead of being inside second base and setting himself he glided over towards second and lackadasical effort to catch the ball.
