From what I have read so far, Dubois has been decent (but never great) outfielder. He was drafted from the Cub prior to the 2003 season by the Blue Jays in the Rule 5 draft and returned by the end of spring training. from that I guess, that Dubois didn't show himself to be what the Jays thought they may have seen so he was returned to the Cubs. He's more a minor leaguer than major league player.
The Cubs sending down Patterson is a bit of a surprise, but Hendry runs the Cubs too much like a fan. I think my youngest niece has more baseball savvy than Hendry does. I think the problem in Chicago is not the players, but more the manager. It may be time for Dusty to move on.
