The Dodger are getting very lucky so far tonight.  Nats just need a solid 6-7 innings form Jason and hold them to 3 runs.  We will score at least 5 tonight!

We've stranded 5 runners, Bob.   >:(

They don't count runners that are doubled up but I don't see why not.

We have to stop crying about other teams being lucky and us being unlucky. We just suck.

Good thing you're keeping it extra positive tonight. You're my counterpart.

LOL at Bob saying that Kent has stayed pretty erect in the batter's box. And of course Kent stays erect and goes deep!

08 obv

Not obviously...I have 07.  Honestly, I've played 08, and they didn't change much.  For example, they changed a ton from 06 to 07.

Bergmann getting ate up... Why do all of our pitchers suck now?  They were so good for so long now they all just suck.

ah the good old days when we were actually competitive and played good fundamental baseball.  Our pitching used to keep us in every single game.  Why can't we get back to winning 3-1, 4-3 type of games... Lately we have been letting our opponent dictate the pace of the game which we did a great job of controlling earlier in the season.

Ok, great 1st inning.  Horrible 2nd and so far not a terrible third.  That was an improvement over the 2nd.  Now, let's get back up to 1st inning caliber.  Please!

Sheinin made a good observation today in his Post chat: by late August, water tends to find its proper level (or something to that effect)...we are playing teams that are--at least on paper--still in contention, and the results are bound to reflect the salient fact that they are in the running, and we aren't.

good point.  but why would that affect a pitcher who should be pretty fresh, unless he just isn't in his groove yet.
