_______________________________________ ______________

Redding pitched seven shutout innings against his old team, the Astros, in his last outing.
He scattered six hits and allowed just one walk. He's 0-0 in three career games against
the Rockies, including July 22, when he pitched 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball and didn't
get the decision.

Jimenez has shown in his past two starts why the Rockies felt comfortable bringing up
the 23-year-old in the middle of a pennant race. Jimenez went seven innings Monday
against the Pirates and gave up one run. In his last two starts, he's allowed just one run
in 13 innings. When he joined the team last month, the one concern was his inability to
eat up innings because of a high pitch count. Tuesday's 94-pitch seven innings marked
his fourth quality start in seven outings and the first time he's gone without a walk.

Good to see Dmitri in the lineup.  Hope he has a hot bat tonight!  No Church again, huh.

He might as well get his practice in as our 4th outfielder. He needs to learn how to get some hits coming off the bench.

Yeah, my dad & I were just talking about him tonight at TFS' bday party.  We're both very pleasantly surprised at how he's turned around.  Wonder what happened.

My mother in law is here and is watching the SKins/ravens game.  So, I'm stuck seeing it through here.  I might not last long.  Not feeling great.

OK. Nobody's talking today it seems. Lopez had a nice double to start off the game...stole third, then Logan knocked him in.

Nice start, boys!

Tulowitzki w/ a homer on a high fastball. Redding doesn't seem to confident with his low stuff yet.

There are far too many people on this forum right now for there only to be one person in this gd thread. Is everyone still sulking over last night's loss or something? Maybe some just needed a break.

Tied up 1-1 going into the 2nd. These two teams make for a pretty nice matchup

REALLY easy inning for Jimenez there. We need to start looking fastball and make him make perfect pitches w/ the curve. He's a 2 pitch pitcher.

Yeah last night's game and subsequent forum animosity must've scared some away. It can't be the Redskins game because they're on delay.

I saw something once that talked about how the Rockies had over 40K every night for years and years.

Yeah, I would have been switching back and forth, but I still would've shown up here. Will be starting to drink near the 7th, though.

They said 4 straight years of sellouts. Crazy.

I thought the same thing.  Also, what's up w/ Brian.  He's barely connecting /w the ball.  bloop here, bloop there. here a bloop there a bloop, everywhere a bloop bloop.

I wouldn't mind drinking a couple but I'm not feeling well enough for that. Once the Redskins game starts I'm off to watch that even though I wish they would just cancel that game. I don't want any of our players to get hurt.
