It really wasn't...Mel Proctor made it sound like it was close.  But oh well...we need to hold em for the next inning.

Meh...last night Froemming had a huge strike zone.  Tonight, this umpire (don't know who it is) has a tiny one.  The first pitch to Matsui looked like a strike to me.

We lost despite the comeback.  And guess what?  It was a 9-8 one run game but the OTHER way around.

OVER?

Did you say "over?"

Nothing is over until WE decide it is!

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

[Q: Germans? A: Don't stop him, he's rolling]

HELL NO!  And it ain't over now!  'Cause when the going gets tough.....the tough get going!

WHO'S WITH ME?

majeski needed to be pulled.  he couldnt throw strikes, which he normally can. i can take 1 5-pitch walk as an anomaly. but two? and a hard hit ball by matsui.

and i dont usually bash frank

I wasn't around to see this game or hear it, and I'm damn glad.  Giving up 8 unanswered runs in the first two innings is bad enough, but rallying for an impossible comeback and then STILL falling short is just sickening.  This team is like a giant cosmic tease, and I'm really getting sick of it.  If the Mets complete the sweep tomorrow to put us in the cellar, it will easily be the low point of the season, I don't care what anyone says about our contender chances or offensive rejuvination  :x

Once again, let me say:  I hate the mets, I hope bad things happen to them and then worse things.  I will not go into specifics because it would be probably too much for this forum

Watching the Nationals and the Mets play is starting to become like watching the 'skins and cowboys.  You know DC can and statistically should be able to win at least half the time, and yet they don't.  It's psychological.  This club doesn't need bats, it needs a shrink and an exorcist
