This is the team that Bob Shorted from Washington in 1971. Shirley Povich said that Short had moved the Expansion Senators to "some tank town with no more distinction than being between Dallas and Fort Worth". Having flown there to change planes to visit the kids at Ft Hood, I agree with Povich.
