Yeah, this team doesn’t need pitching depth in the minors.

It needs it more in the big leagues. But let’s go 2030! Woot woot.

Yean is one of our few legit relievers, so of course they bring him in for mop up duty. But they bring in people like Krook to close games even though he has never not sucked

Hartle's a 40. He'll be top 20 in our system.
So Garcia returned Cruz, now in the buillpen. And Griffin got the Nats four players rated, by Fangraphs, each as 35+ FV? The best was Cleveland's number 23 prospect?

Per Fangraphs

Fastball 50/55
Slider 45
Changeup 45/50
Command 30/35

What about at the major league level? That's where we really need the pitching.

Well you sort of need minor league pitching, cause the cream rises to the top and ultimately become major leaguers.  I'm on board with the current management's effort and focus on driving the minor league talent level higher and higher, with a heavy focus on developing that talent into major leaguers.  Of course it doesn't happen overnight but it's the right approach.  It doesn't excuse them not being able to patch up a functional bullpen when in mattered this season, but I wouldn't want them to chase butterflies now at the expense of the fundamental franchise building that happens in the minors.

After the Griffin deal, Dion would get the 2 on, no out, 7th inning situation instead of Cosgrove had he been here and on board tonight.
