I expect Butera will try to have Yean get through the top 6 hitters before switching to Alvarez for Varsho and the bottom of the order. Only LHH are Lukes and Varsho.

Scherzer faces all LHH and switch hitters except Crews. Vivas and Nunez haters left speechless without Mead on the bench, but the Housers are clearing their throats.

Jays bullpen has 3 lefties - Mason Fluharty, Adam Macko, and Brendon Little. Macko and Little pitched yesterday. Rest of the bullpen has had at least 2 days off because of Cease's great performance Saturday.

Playing Crews over Young against righties is akin to nepotism...it punishes both the better hitter from that side and the better fielder in favor of the chosen one...

Stuff like this really pisses me off...

Not going to argue too much about this. Only thing I'll say is that, with 3 righties in Scherzer, Bieber, and Yesavage, I expect Young and Crews to split the starts. Does mean one will sit twice.

Young might be a better PH? Their righties are their top relievers, so you are less vulnerable if they PH for Lile or somebody and the Jays go to Hoffman or Varland.

It's still a mystery to me how after Yean's first outing, he was sent back down even though we needed pitching. Yet they are obsessed with keeping Krook around despite being disastrous.

They needed a fresh arm. That's the reason. Yean had options and the Nats needed another bullpen arm.
