JT Ginn has big splits vs righties and lefties, so the Nats are turning to Tena to DH and Vivas to play 3rd. Only righty in the lineup is in CF (Crews).
Vs R - .170 / .228 / .288, 20.2 K% - BB%
vs L - .252 / .365 / .412, 4.9 K%-BB%
Groundball pitcher.

Littell has been much more effective with an opener. He's coming off 4 decent appearances, giving up 1 or 2 runs each game (19 IP) but had an opener for 3 of those appearances.

Athletics announcer said they need to go 1-0 today. Not the Caray play by play kid but the color guy. Have no idea who he is.

Are you sure that’s Dallas Braden? I think they have someone else in the booth tonight.

Edit: Was Johnny Doskow.  See you don’t know everything.

Edit 2.  Was the pre game show guys.

I said last night we had forgotten how to hit and then we scored 23.

We’ve forgotten how to hit.

Looks like we will need lots of runs.

Love how they say they're going to follow the analytics but then insist on not using an opener for Littell

Game.

Never have Littell start a game without an opener ever again.

kind of baited Butera into not using an opener by going r-l-r-l-r at the top of the order.

Littell has no business pitching another inning.   Give that spot to Cornelio and be done with it

He has no business being in the majors. Jake Bennett would be good to have in the rotation right now.

They have 5 runs and we haven’t even put the bat on the ball yet. It’s going to be a long night…

Well, if you are going to be down by 5 runs in a game, it is best for it to be in the first inning. Way to dig a hole with a garbage pitcher.
