For Team 2025, the win marked the return of Dylan Crews after a 3 month IL stint from a oblique injury. He had a decent game, but did not help much down the stretch.
In 2022, the Nats 49th win honored our all-time favourite Anglophile, marking the passage of Queen Elizabeth with a win. G-d save the King. The next game would be played on the day of the 3rd place game in the World Cup. England-France. IDK which players are on Chelsea.
In 2024, this game was the last appearance of Jesse Winker as a Nat. Among the pump and dump signings hoping to trade a vet on a rebound after a poor year, Winker was one that had one of the best performances pre-trade. Looking like the pump and dump did not pay off as the player we received back, reached AAA in 2024 but has been hurt most of the past 2 years. That said, Winker played like a pro, something the Nats have sometimes lacked since 7/30/2021.
