Any worse second pick in the draft in league history?

And that wasn't a strike.

The second pitch wasn't a ball either...

Deservedly so.

Ehh. There's far more pressing issues with this team than Crews. They aren't losing games because of him.

Leads in the 8th inning of all 3 games. Going to get swept. Tough pill to swallow.

Not public enemy #1 exactly….but he’s sure not outplaying Young.

Not in the least. His numbers against RHP are pathetic. So, they have the worst idea of analytics I have ever seen.

All the guys in the HR derby should be asking our relievers to pitch for them

Another bullpen meltdown.  More saves blown than made.  Has any team ever done that over a full season?  It's in reach.

Lawrence coming in makes me think this team is making prop bets on how many runs they can give up

Not giving him a pass. He's stunk for sure. My feelings are what they are. Young players need time and if your whole thing is to just give up on them when they've struggled then there's no point in development. Keibert was the worst catcher in baseball last year. This same group wanted him gone. Hell, I wanted him gone. He's been pretty damn good this season. A month ago this board wanted to give Lile a new deal and he's stunk since. Growth amongst your young players isn't always linear. Deciding a 24-year old is the worst player ever and moving on two years after you've drafted him is pure silliness.

So how long should Dylan's leash be, moving forward?

I genuinely wouldn't care. We drafted him so I'm invested.

Well, it's been 3 years since we drafted him, and he wasn't a HS player...he had 3 years of college ball...

I saw his 2023 debut in F'sburg and the eye test told me the kid wasn't all that....and so far...he ain't...

He needs to improve his skills, if he can, somewhere other than the Bigs...

As far as what exactly? Do you mean in the majors? If so, I'd probably send him back down now but I'd do the same with Lile and Chappy. If you mean moving on from him? It would be at least two years. There's far too much talent there to dump it for no reason.

Good thing he didn't challenge that last called strike (it was a ball), we need to save that for later.

Yeah, that’s inexcusable when you have both challenges still available. Pitch was clearly a ball - that’s a potential game-changer.

Chappy had his foot on his glove side on the bag instead of stretching
