Yankees repeat the top 7 from last night, with Volpe in for Caballero and Sanchez in for Wells.

Nats give the haters lots of ammo: Crews in CF, Vivas in the lineup (at 3B, with Mead at 1st and Garcia at DH), Millas catching. For me, I'm still not buying Krook in the 9th yesterday and Poulin opening today. Goes 4 hittters, faces Rosario and Goldy. So much for not wanting him to face righties. At least it'll be the start of the game.

Mikoias does have better numbers when he enters behind an opener. Walk rate falls to 3.3% with minimal drop in his (low) K%. WHIP drops to 1.13, FIP less atrocious (4.79). HR/ FB% drops from 25% as a starter to 12 %.  Not good as a reliever, but awful starting.

Again, with this sort of pitching match up today, how is it that the Nats top 3 relievers only faced 1 batter, total, last night with a lead in the 8th and 9th? Does anyone think there will be a high lev, potential save today?

Leadoff walk in front of one of the hottest hitters on the planet. What could go wrong?

And yet PJ flips a switch and gets out of it.

Gonna guess that's it for him. After all, Dominguez is the guy Butera preferred Krook to face instead of Poulin.

Wood!

Nice job by Poulin.

Mikolas gets 3 righties to start off unless they insert Caminero here
