For a guy who has had 55 PAs since late April, Chappy draws a lot of anger here. At least he's not hitting #2 or #3.

yes. Shouldn't do that. 2d half of the order bat. Tonight, he's 6th. That's ok. They have the lefties #1, #4, and #7 so there's no good spot for a lefty reliever after Weathers is pulled. Can also PH Tena or Lile if a righty reliever comes in.

He's 8 for 51...a .157 BA...and a career .193 hitter. He doesn't belong...

I will concede though that's he's not the only one in the starting lineup that doesn't belong...

I will concede though that's he's not the only one in the starting lineup that doesn't belong...

and 10 BBs and an hbp. Brings his obp up to .306. Not good, but it was higher about a week ago. Volatile batting numbers. xwOBA. 334, which is good. With as few PAs as he has, I don't think there's a numbers case either way. I think it's more that, in general, righties handle lefties better than lefties and some of our lefties have long records of not handling lefties
