Because we have no pitching.  Even one backend starter and two reliable relievers has this team 10+ games over .500

Even a couple of decent relievers would push the Nats higher. Lord is being over-worked. Alvarez needs to be a long reliever again, if they can find another starter. Maybe it's time for Perales to earn his keep as a relief pitcher.

I’m thinking that Lord should only be used for one inning as his last several appearances have blown up in the second inning he relieves.
