You don't know that was the intent. If there is a guy who is acting like a punk, I might call him "little bro" or "little boy" as an insult regardless of what that persons' race is.

Frankly, we don't know. It's not been reported before. I don't believe there's anything before this to show he's a racist or even a jerk. Whether he inadvertently said something that could be taken the wrong way or whether that's his attitude, it's easy to see how a person of color could take it, especially when it's from someone he doesn't know.

The umps heard it and didn't run him, so it's not an automatic ejection just for using the word. Let's see if the league takes further action.

Then if that happens he needs to lawyer up and sue. The say I interpreted is that Cavalli was saying that Contreras was not a man, and ofcourse the opposite of that is a boy. There is nothing concrete enough in his statement that shows racial intent.
