I'm not digging up all the fancy extra stats like JCA but at least I got the confirmed lineups in place before game time this time :D

All I know is Spider would object to having any split loyalty folks starting the GDT.

Luis at 1st, Lile gets the day off, and Chappy DHs. With the Nats facing 3 lefties in a row, I thought they'd give LGJr a shot at 1st somehow. Also, with Boston's RF, Crews likely will get 3 games out there.

Garcia does have a huge record of success against Ranger from his days in Philadelphia. 8 PAs, OPS .250. Ruiz is similar, but he's had some success against several Boston relievers (Chapman, Weissert, Whitlock). 2 hitters, Young and Crews, have had some success (5 PAs each, OPS 1.400 and .900).
 https://www.baseball-reference.com/previews/2026/BOS202606290.shtml

Wilson Contreras has had a lot of PAs and a lot of success against Mikolas (19 PAs, 1.000 OPS). Caleb Durbin has 7 PAs with a 1.857 OPS.

Mikolas has been fairly effective over his last 7 appearances, going back to 5/22: 35.2 IP, 13 ER / 15 R, 5 HR, 3 BB, 16 K, 3.28 ERA.

Suarez has had a strong 4 appearances in June: 24 IP, 6 BB, 27 K, 0 HR, 1.50  ERA

1 for 8, does NOT have a huge record of success I think you meant to say.

Thanks for including the link, I had no idea you could see historical player vs player (and team vs team) records like that at Baseball Reference.

Wood starts it off. Of course, Nats fans remember when Frank Howard hit a homer at Fenway with only one hand on the bat.

Ok, I thought he'd go the other way and use the wall. That was a heck of a shot. Papi-esque

Mikolas sucks so bad. I miss the days when Tanner Roark was our “worst” pitcher.

Durbin has turned around his year the past month or so. He was going to be chased out of town earlier in the year.

We should have let Cornelio start the first day he came up.   Putting him in the pen stunted his growth

This was a penciled in loss given the starting pitchers.
