That’s fine. They’re not going to win and the worst thing they could do would be to tie it, forcing another reliever to go out and take a dump on the mound.

He is in all honesty a bad manager with no feel for his players, no concept of thinking outside the box and no clue how to actually make any moves .

A real manager would have removed 1/2 to 2/3rds of this bullpen and tried something. But he cant do that. The computer he reads wont do that.

Finally you said something that makes sense.  He's the manager, his job is to manager the current roster on the field.  He doesn't have the ability or authority to remove anyone from the active roster.

The Royals just released a couple veteran turd relievers so I expect them in Nats uniforms by this weekend.

And there is something seriously wrong - the team wins on the road and cant win at home. What is going on at home that is different than away games?

He can not play them?  WTF?  He has to play the players he has on the roster.  Trying to maximize their chances of success is a core job duty, he can't make them good when they're not though.  And how do you know he hasn't gone to the GM and Pres demanding changes?  I don't know that, maybe you have an inside source.

I might have to go to the doctor and get a checkup after those three games. 64 years old and I can’t remember EVER SEEING three games in a row that demoralizing.
