Yea, Butera doesnt actually make any bullpen decisions. He just does whatever the analytics nerds tell him to

Don’t like the pitches Millas are choosing. They’re too vulnerable and .  You have a pitchers count and are throwing mercy pitches in the  strike zone

So much stupidity in that inning. Inexcusable. zthe bullpen is a joke, but if you are going to bring Lovelady in, why not for Schwarber
And what was up with wasting a challenge on a ball 6 inches outside?

Hindsight but I think you keep Orlando in there, his stuff was looking good.

You have a manager with no feel
For the game, all he looks at are numbers. That is only part of modern baseball.

Somebody needs to take away Butera's hand-held "How to Manage a Pitching Staff By the Numbers".

Why Lovelady for Ribalta?

I get there isn't much to work with but I'm starting to think Butera is in over his head. Just too young and not ready for this role. Might be a great manager one day but this was too soon.

Nunez can't hit. Why is he given an AB in this situation?

Wood is due for a big hit. He’s slumping big time.

Wood is swinging at junk and looking at meat.

He’s just not seeing the kzone well

This is basically the Rochester pen

Then swapping them out wont be awful. Make some moves look like you care, hold people accountable.
With an avg pen this team would make the playoffs. Even with heading to breaking the mlb error record for a season

Wood seems like he's going back into one of those long-term slumps.

He’s already in it. Hopefully he figures it out soon.
