All the prognosticators - BP, Fangraphs etc, thought we had a league best roster and he's just killing a great team with his decisions.

Correct he makes awful in game moves, woods should have been move to the other side, the same crappy arms are sent out day after day and fail every day.
We have arguably the best offense in the majors, we have the worst fielding and defense in the league, they have good to decent starters and the worst pen in baseball.

Chews up the bullpen for the next few games. There's basically Varland and nobody else who did not pitch tonight.

It’s time to start DFAing these dudes. This is an easy playoff team without this bullpen. Try somebody else.

Yup, not a fan of his, I always thought canning Davey was just the Lerners' trying to find a scapegoat while keeping the lowest payroll possible

Again, what control does the manager have over who he has available in the bullpen?

He can tell the front office to dfa the trash and bring up arms from the minors who would not do any worse.  But he just does nothing, and all his actions are always 2-3 batters too late

All this could have been avoided by leaving the opener in for another inning.

Which is another thing he does all the time - pulls starters too soon

And who would you replace these guys with.  Lord has been good all season. Ribaltq pitched a scoreless inning tonight after blowing the game Sunday. I guess he should have been benched after Sunday lol.

If only our manager had hindsight like other team's managers do. And you forget that Butera works for management, they don't work for him.

You want Lord DFAed?

Need to calm down. It’s not a playoff team that has been assembled.  The hitting has exceeded expectations. If the Nats stay around .500 Butera will get lots of manager of the year votes and deservedly so.

He wants everybody fired.  He conveniently didn't make a prediction for team record this season but now says we have the best roster, just being mis-managed.

in his last 7 games Ferrer has an ERA of 8.44 and a 2.44 WHIP. He'd fit in perfectly with this bullpen.

That would have been good enough ERA to win over the last 2 innings of today's game when the ERA was more like 50

Yep that’s why Vegas had us at 65 wins for the season

And no i didnt make a prediction this year for two reasons
1 work has been insane - i manage a major retail establishment and been way over worked and understaffed and 2) major issues with family health issues, so life got in the way and I forgot.

As for the rest anyone saying I said we had the best roster must be a politician and take comments out of context. I said we have the best offense - not the best roster. Said our fielding was bad, too many errors, that our starting pitching was acceptable and our bullpen is the worst in the majors.

It could easily have been a playoff team. Ownership is not willing to spend any money.  It's too late now.

LOL they’re 1 game out of a wild card spot. And yes management is cheap and should sell the team.
