Somebody explain to me the current practice of the starting pitcher often being a reliever, who only pitches one or 2 innings? Lots of teams are doing this. Why?

My only wish for next season (non baseball) is getting rid of Frandsen. He rarely adds anything to the game and just talks incessantly. I don’t understand it when a fan attends the game the announcers just mention who is at bat. The scoreboard gives us the batters numbers and the pitchers. I’ve said it before. Does he get paid by the word.

Yes. He has been pulled too many times while having a lead only to see the BP freak it up.

Yep. The second one by Ruiz was not even close, not sure about the first. Bit the Nats in the ass twice this last half-inning. This umpire is horrible.

Ruiz burned the last one last inning on a ball that was an inch + off. Lile or maybe Mead lost one on a ball that was less than 0.1 inches off
